Movie in the park

I love Summer! It's my absolute favorite time of the year!! We get to do tuns of free and fun things together and all outside! There was a free family movie playing at the park at the end of our street one night. It was going to be a little chilly so we brought a huge blanket (I bought from Africa) popcorn and other snacks, sweaters, camera, and of course our princess crowns! 

-the joy of having all girls- they always have to wear princess crowns.

Our little neighborhood actually has a small town feeling- even thought we live in the city. All of Julia's friends from school were there. She ran off to play games with them while me and Belle waited for the movie to start.

We watched 'Despicable me'. I love this movie. probably because I have a huge soft spot for children in foster care and adoption has always been a dream of mine.  You have to see this movie if you haven't already. don't tell anyone but my husband got a little teary eyed at the end...... :P bonus there's a 'Despicable me 2' coming out next year! -can not wait!

          My favorite part of the night was towards the end when Julia made her way back to our blanket and laid her head on my lap. Then Belle snuggled up next to her sister and they both fell asleep!

I sat there watching The evil Gru read a bed time story to the three girls he adopted and I thanked God for giving me my girls and longing for the day when I have ALL my children snuggling with my African Blanket under the stars watching a movie together. 

The Maly's-and one soon to be not a Maly

I know a great lady named Lisa. She is constantly smiling! I can honestly say I have never seen her not smile! she makes everyone feel like family. She has such a big heart and fun personality. She sweet and caring and just Happy! I love her!

The night before I took these Pictures Lisa and Ron went out to celebrate Lisa's birthday. Little did she know Ron had a very special birthday surprise for her...........

My Breastfeeding story...sorry fellas if this is gross :)

When Miss Belle was born I breast fed her.

I loved it Because:

1. it was healthier for my baby

2. cheaper

3. bonding time

4. i lost all my baby weight within a few weeks and not once exercised 

5. I never had to lug around a huge diaper bag with formula and bottles

6. never had to wash thousands of old dirty bottles

7. I look awesome in all my clothes cause I had big boobs :)

Things I didn't like:

1. it hurt if I was at work and I couldn't releave the pressure of them filling up!

2. she was awake EVERY two hours to eat and since I was the only one who could feed her I had to be up! (not 1 full night sleep for 8 months will drive you crazy! I apologize to my husband all the time for being such a psycho during that time)

3. I was very depressed when I had to stop breast feeding so abruptly since I didn't realize the immunizations for my trip to Africa were going to be very bad for my breast milk and baby.

4. I could never get comfortable while feeding her

5. the blanket I would use to cover up myself while she was eating would ALWAYS slip and the world saw way more than I wanted them too.

Now considering all the information I learned from Miss Belle and the roller coaster ride breast feeding took me on I have decided to........... do it all over again with the new baby!!

This time hopefully learning from the mistakes and issues I had before. I will be pumping more this time around so that my husband can do some late night feedings and mommy can get some sleep. Praying crazy stressed out sleep deprived mommy isn't as bad this time around! I bought a boppy pillow and already LOVE IT! now the only thing left is that darn blanket slipping problem...................

                     Now I can still feed and peak at my little one without flashing the world!

 I am so excited to use my new cover and pillow! I can not wait to have my little one in my arms and start this roller coaster of breast feeding.

                       That is little Abby in that belly and here she is at a couple weeks old!

a late mother's day present

For Mother's day I had this great idea to make a coupon book for the babies mommy's that I babysit for. obviously mother's day has passed but you could do the same for father's day coming up.

Now the reason this is such a late post is because I go the idea two days before mother's day and it took at least a week for the company to make the books and then almost a week for them to be mailed to my house!!! so I suggest if you are going to do a father's day gift like this start working on it NOW!
