Craft afternoon

My friend Lisa and I finally got to sit down and have a craft afternoon! It was so much fun catching up and laughing while we also made some super cute decorations for our houses! Lisa found these ideas on Pinterest. And the best part was most of the supplies we already had!
Our first project was to hot glue sticks to jars, for a candle holder. I love how they turned out!

Next we made the paper flowers. These turned out really cute too!
It will go perfectly with my new living room theme I have cooking in my brain. But I have been grounded from painting for a while so this room makeover is on hold until farther notice :(

Kite Flying

My girls woke up Sunday morning and wanted to wear dresses! This weather lately is just perfect! and I herd it's supposed to stay perfect all week!!!
We headed over to Grandma's house to have a cook out and fly kites!

They love Aunt Jeri Lynn!
Then it was the Julia's turn. She did really good.
It was getting really high and then.........
She crashed it on the house!
She say's she could not stop it but then she did it over and over again!
Just one of the many reasons why she is called 'The Julia'!!

Madness!

I was born into a die hard UK fan family! you know those families in the cheesy comercials that all gather around the TV holding foam fingers and all wearing the team colors, jumping up and down screaming when they score a point.......Yeah that's us Brown's! We truly bleed blue :)
I remember growing up my uncle moved in our house for a bit, I had to give up my room and move into the Kentucky room. My dad refused to paint over the huge UK letters and make it girlie for me, but I really didn't mind.
Today is my third favorite holiday!........what holiday is that you ask? well it's the start of MARCH MADNESS!!!! hello?!?!
I have my Kentucky wildcat shirt on and my bracket filled out (of course Kentucky has the top spot) I even took another pregnancy picture in honor of this awesome day!
I wanted to share how I made my head band:
Hot glued little fabric rose buds to a piece of felt:
trimmed the felt down:
Then glued it to the head band! easy peasy!
I made Miss Belle one too!

But that lasted for all of 5 seconds!

Happy March madness day! and Go big blue!!!!

backyard plans

One of the things I love the most about our new house is our back yard! It's a really good size. I have so many plans for it. I want a sitting area, playground, garden, clothes line and there is still plenty more room! I in vision birthday parties and grill outs, but right now is a muddy mess!
My husband wanted to get some work started since the weather was so nice. The girls wanted to play so I sucked it up and let them get dirty.

I love how Miss Belle always tries so hard to do something on her own but then when she gives up the first person she ask for help is "THISSSTHYY!!!" (that's sissy in Belle language) She loves her big sister and The Julia jumps at a chance to help her!
Jerky is a great watch dog. Remember how I said we were told he was a chihuahua but later found out he is actually a Min Pin, well this is proof! Min Pin's are known for thinking they are big guard dogs. just look at that mean face ready to attack anyone that enters his family's space! lol love him!
Well all the work my wonderful hubby had planned to get started, ended up with a few burned sticks. I think he just wanted to play with fire. O-well we have plenty of perfect weather weekends ahead to really get started on some work!!!

Secret Weapon

Last christmas I was given this secret weapon by my mother-in-law. she thought it would be a nice tool for lunches with the babies, and to my surprise it is! it's fast and super easy to clean. The Xpress Redi-Set-Go is great for when I have three hungry babies wanting to eat RIGHT NOW!!!!! most meals require altogether a ten minute prep and cooking time!

my only problem was I kept forgetting to turn it 'on'! so maybe my ten minutes turned into 12.
I made corn dogs by mixing Bisquick and adding cut up hot dogs. I added too much of the batter and they didn't turn out pretty but the babies didn't mind. (they always get a fruit with their lunch, this day was peaches)
I am not a big fan of corn dogs so I wiped down the machine and made a bagel pizza. I did however steal some of the peaches :)

I probably wont get #1 chef of the year for my lunches but as long as I can make 4 lunches before all three babies have complete meltdowns I will keep using my little secret :) have you ever used something like this? what did you make? Grill cheese is a huge favorite in this house!
