pillow

Grandma Jo was gone on vacation all summer long to visit her daughter in Delaware. We missed her a lot! When she came back home she couldn't wait to give the girls new dresses. These were special one though they were made by a company called beachbumz gifts.  the lady used vintage pillow cases! two things i love! really old stuff and things no one else would think to use!
Since I am pretty sure there isn't a pillow case the right size to make a dress for Stella she wore a vintage outfit a friend got her, for the pictures. I was so excited to take these and email them to the lady that made them. I bought the girls bubbles to keep them happy since they are pretty sick of my camera being in their faces all the time.

I had envisioned them playing and dancing in the field of over grown grass some beautiful sun glares behind them and laughter on the faces of my gorgeous girls. but shorty after this next picture was taken they all had enough. crying and temper tantrums fallowed.....
:(
it would have made a 'perfect picture'.
but what my girls forget is that taking pictures is my job! and the camera will always be there ready to go the next time I have the 'perfect picture' idea in my head!

pretty and festive

well I desided it was time for a change.
our craft room/toy room/ dinning room is semi redecortaed. I still have some painting to do but am taking  a break for the moment.
I grabbed a glass bowl thingy I found in our basement cellar. (that thing is full of all kinds of old weird items)
I started with one color and just painted random dots. I wanted the most dots on the base of the glass and more scattered dots toward the top. The Julia has got me on this rainbow phase. it's her favorite color and when I use rainbows she LOVES my crafts. so I have been incorporating them a lot lately.
after it was dry I filled it with water and placed a flower inside.
 Pretty and festive!

fall

We made our fall list of things to do last week but I wanted to fancy it up a little bit.

We cut out a brown paper bag
Taped it to the back of a frame
 wrote out our list.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE oil pastels!! They are so fun to use but not everyone understands why they are so awesome! so today I will show you:
Fist I drew a pumpkin and then used the normal color for pumpkins Orange
now heres where the fun happens,
next I got out a yellow for the highlights of the pumpkin
then a tan color for the fading
 Green for darker shadows
and red for the even darker areas
this is the part where julia could help:
grab a tissue and just rub all over the colors. this helps blend everything together.
I also did a leaf with the same technige. I love that there are so many colors and it looks almost real and like it took forever to color but really it was super easy and fast!
I hung the frame in my chalk board hallway
I actually don't like fall to much.(summer is my fav!) but looking at this list does get me excited!
 like my cute drawing?

get mean!

I feel like I have finally achieved what I was put on this earth to become, A soccer mom!

We all wore something green to support our Gators and headed down to the fields! I'm pretty sure I was more excited than The Julia :)
In fact she seemed really nervous! it was her first game and she untied her shoes three times and adjusted her shin guards over and over again. Usually she is a very out going social type person but the whole time she was distancing herself from her team mates and not saying much. I tried to stay up beat and positive to show her she will do great. She asked me if we could just go home!!!!!!
Home????
Then the game started and my girl came alive!!!!

I was a cheering screaming fool! Stella slept
 and Belle enjoyed her sucker

At one point Julia was getting very confused because we were all cheering for her to kick it, go get the ball, run this way, and go go go! I could tell by the look on her face she was SO confused! and at one point on the verge of tears! then half time came. she needed to use the restroom so I walked her over to the porter potty and we had a real heart to heart mommy daughter conversation.
"Why is everyone yelling at me?"
"No one's yelling honey! we are cheering you on! we know how good you are and we are so proud!"
"Tell Jeri Lynn to stop telling me what to do!"
"I will. don't listen to Aunt Jeri listen to your coaches. and if you hear Jeri yelling and your getting frustrated again, just take it out on the other team. you get that ball and get mean!"

-OK that's not very Christian of me but in my defense The Julia does have a few anger issues bottled up inside of her and I want to help her channel that into something positive! That's the main reason we choose soccer over any other sport kids her age are playing!
The whistle sounded off the next half and The Julia took off! Aunt Jeri yelled and Julia took out her anger:

Sorry you were the victim of my daughters rage and was pushed to the ground little girl! But I am one proud soccer mom!

lunch box

Last week Me and The Julia went on our annual back to school mommy-daughter date. I love spending one on one time with her picking out all the supplies she will need and talking about all the things she's excited for or nervous about in 2nd grade!
I wanted to try and save a little bit of money on certain things she could reuse. So we got out her old lunch box. The stickers have completely worn off but the box itself was in perfect condition.
So we got out some supplies and Julia picked out the scrap book paper she like the best.
I cut it to size and sprayed it with spray adhesive. (I cleaned it off afterwards so it would be safe for food to be packed in)
 Then we added stickers
The Julia on her first day of second grade! *tear
saving all that money by re-using an old lunch box, I got to spend it on new craft supplies! a pack of new crayons is only a quarter right now! So I bought ten them! I love crayons!
YEAH FOR BACK TO SCHOOL!!!

 Kings island

 lots of crafts
bike wash
