I found God on pinterest

Julia has one chore a day.
yesterday it was to clean all the toys and garbage off her bedroom floor.
I felt like it was a simple chore.
She thought that I meant throw everything under her bed.....
no
that's not what I meant.
she then proceeded to throw herself on the floor and let out ear piercing screams .
She can be very dramatic.
I started toward the door. I was not going to give her any attention for her behavior.
but as soon as I reached the door, she stood up gave me the meanest look I have ever seen and said in the coldest voice "I hate you."
it's not the first time she has acted like this or said something so hateful.
but it was like she just stabbed me in heart.
I admit it I lost my temper.
I yelled and yelled.
I told her she was grounded for the rest of the night.
I shut the door behind me and then bursted into tears.
'God help me. help me. help me.  I don't want to be that kind of mom. I don't want to lose my temper just because she lost hers.
I need help God. I feel like I am ruining her.'
Then I went to kitchen turned on the radio and my lap top. I needed a break from the yelling.
I saw this

God answered my prayers through Pinterest.
This might sound crazy.
but I felt like God was telling me
'your not a bad mom because you yelled. you just a mom. that's your job.'
and about a half an hour later I went in to tell Julia dinner was ready. There she was with a broom in her hand sweeping her floor and whistling.
she's not ruined.

Miles

When Kaycee was a little girl she had a cabbage patch doll. She loved that doll so much that it now has a special place  for safe keeping.
While thinking of names for their third child Kaycee remembered her favorite doll. his name was Miles.

Mile Joseph was born on Oct. 27th. He was 5 days old when I shot these pictures. Miles hates the cold but once we had him posed he would get comfy and fall asleep.

Nothing sweeter than a sleeping newborn.

I am Kassondra Taylor and I don't support this message

Today is election day! I like everyone ele am just ready for the commercials to be over with :)
I am not a political person. I try to watch good morning America between diaper changing and breast feeding. I have my opinions and feelings toward each candidate but I keep them to myself. I am not one to start arguments and I try to ovoid them whenever possible. even in my own home.
Julia likes Obama because she doesn't want him to loose his job and Belle like to say Mitt Momney. to say the least it's not been pleasant in the Taylor household.
I thought I would share with you some fun little facts about each candidate. (these FACTS have been brought to you by Google.(I did not hire a fact checker so just trust that it is correct))

Book review

I was recently asked to read a book titled: 199 Truths about you and your baby
It is a nice short fast read.
I found myself reading each and every truth and relating to every single one.
You should hop over to amazon and get a copy for yourself.

As I was reading, of course I though about each of my girls. But most of the truths would immediately remind me of Miss Belle. I found myself back in time to when she was a newborn. I have said before that she was a very difficult baby! non-stop crying, up all night, and always wanting to be fed by mommy. I was exhausted and stressed out. I didn't ask for much help because she was MY baby and if I asked for help I would have failed in some way.

The one Truth from the book that stuck with me was "sometimes motherhood is simply not what you thought it would be. sometimes it's just hard."
I look back on those early days with Miss Belle and I miss her being so tiny. Other than that I would not go back! She is much more happier now and full of energy. always keeping me on my toes and laughing out loud at her silliness.
Motherhood is harder than I ever thought it would be but the good days always outweigh the bad.

food fight

Look at these very proud grandparents!
That was the first thing that came to my mind as I waited for everyone to gather for their pictures.
Grandma was introducing me to each and every kid and giving me little tid-bits about their personality. some of the tips were helpful but I felt like she wasn't telling me these things to help me. she was just telling me to her favorite qualities about each child and what makes them special to her.
Grandpa walked right past me and straight to the group of kids to give each one a hug!
I loved the relationship they all had with one another.
It made me excited to become a grandma.......in 25-30 years from now :)

After taking a little walk and snapping some very cute colorful pictures of the families and children we settled down at a picnic table. they packed hot chocolate, marshmallows, and popcorn.

Then on the count of three they each grabbed a handful and tossed it in the air, or at each other. nothing like a little food fight to create some great family memories.
